Nehru Yuva Kendra, Satna, Madhya Pradesh

A District Advisory Committee on Youth Programmes (DACYP) meeting was arranged at District Collector's Conference Hall, Satna. The main objective ofthe meeting was to streamline the youth programmes of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Satna. Shri Vijay Anand Kuril, lAS, District Collector, Satna presided over the meeting. Kuril laid the annual programme before the members of committee. An amount of Rs. 8 lakh 29 thousands was to be provided to every district for the betterment of youth.

The main theme in consideration was to empower youth through developmental activities. The Kendra decided to focus on five sports and five social issues as future course of action. 29 events were also earmarked to enhance a feeling of oneness. In September 2008 a District Level Youth Seminar is to be organised to improve the methods of self employment in making agarbatti, papad, paper

bag etc. Shri Vijay Anand Kuril emphasised on issues of poverty and rising population and added that each and every one must focus on mitigating these problems.
